Streaming Videos of History Channel’s America: The Story of Us

A riveting documentary and informative series just started last night on History Channel. Simply entitled America: The Story of Us, it contains featured interviews and discussions with important political leaders from everywhere around the US. Luckily for those who missed it, History Channel has some clips streaming from their website.

It appears to be a multi-part documentary series, and History Channel has spared no expense at running up to date pictures and videos from the series on their website. The design is simple to navigate and it’s easy to find information on the play times and content during the series, which I’m already a huge fan of.

How Metacafe Stacks up against Video Streaming Apps

It’s no doubt when it comes to social media and web video, YouTube takes the cake. Currently within top 5 Alexa rank and also owned by the #1 search engine and website online, YouTube has everything backing it. Google doesn’t control the monopoly though, there are so many cool video streaming services out there each with their own to offer.

Metacafe has shown substantial promise and growth since it’s initial launch in 2003. I’ve been a fan of the site for a while, and ever since they released features to help video publishers make money with original content I’ve loved the site. It’s a brilliant business concept and it’s grown on very quickly.

YouTube Rolls out new User Interface for Flash Video Player

Having seen YouTube roll out new video and profile pages over the past few months, it’s been obvious there’s been a new Flash User Interface in the works for the common video player. Well as of today, YouTube has finally released the newest UI to most video pages, and are slowly trickling down throughout all videos over the next couple of days.

I’m interested to see what else YouTube may have in store for the design. From my use of the design thus far I can tell it’s surely a lot easier to work with, everything seems so much simpler and buttons are less obtrusive. Also, the interface controls fade into the background when you aren’t hovering near them, and once you go in to edit the volume or go fullscreen everything fades into view.

Behind the Scenes at Watch-Series.com: Free TV Series Streaming Online

I have to admit, I hate TV. It’s something that most people base their entire schedule around, without even realizing it. You want to be in front of it by 8PM for your Monday night line-up, or on Sunday’s you enjoy marathons of your favorite shows. It’s not to say this doesn’t work for some people, but it definitely doesn’t work for me.

I found Watch Series a couple of months ago when I was looking for a few shows to watch online. I have found every other show I’ve wanted to watch straight from the site, and they have a HUGE library to choose from and search. I got an awesome interview with the site’s founder and Admin, Petreus Dumitru. Check out his responses below.

Interview with the Psychedelic New App Yooouuutuuube

Alice Video - Yooouuutuuube If you’re a big fan of Digg.com, I’m sure you remember seeing an article hit the front page about 2-3 weeks ago titled The Most Trippy and Hypnotic Thing You Will See Today. It linked to a video of many split-screen Alice in Wonderland clips playing over some neat background music, and really was the most trippy thing I’d seen! After this first discovery, tons of videos from Yooouuutuuube.com started popping up everywhere.

The service has spread like wildfire in the short time it’s been noticed, and even ended up with a story on Mashable.com entitled “Yooouuutuuube Puts YouTube on LSD”. Quite a fitting name for such a great website. And thus, I have contacted the site’s creator, David Kraftsow, and he agreed to to an interview for Inside the Webb! And so, I bring you behind the scenes for a deeper understanding of this amazingly trippy and brilliant site. Read More…
