The security conscious worry about what is on the other end of those shortened URL's, and at first glance there is no real way of knowing where those shortened URL's are pointing to. One could using something like Link scanner or something similar. It would be awesome to see an article about how safe these url shortening services are, and the measures one could take to see the real url they are pointing to.
